Mural on display

The Cheyenne Frontier Days mural painted by artists in Ron Medina's advanced painting class at LCCC will be on display beginning April 20 at the Cheyenne Frontier Days Old west Museum, 4610 N. Carey Ave. Hours are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekends.

Said Barbara Epler, a student in the class, "the mural shows the people, the animals, the action, the volunteers and the dust and the dirt, the money that it generates and the rodeo clowns."

Fourteen students were assigned to work on two each of the 38 panels that form the mural.

The mural will join a permanent installation in the "Cheyenne Frontier Days: A Legend Walking Tall " exhibition.
