Casper College History Professor Everett Akam directs the college's Veritas Honors Institute and teaches U.S. History, Western Civilization, Wyoming History, and American and Wyoming Government at the college. He holds a Ph.D. from the University of Rochester, and is the author of "Transnational America: Cultural Pluralist Thought in the Twentieth Century." He also loves to ski.Akam will moderate the Equality State Book Festival panel "Words, Pictures, and the Local Past," at 1 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 18 at the Fort Caspar Museum, and will be available to sign books afterwards.
