Humanities Forum seeks new programs

The Wyoming Humanities Council sends this press release:

The Wyoming Humanities Council seeks programs for the Humanities Forum. The forum is a roster of presenters who travel throughout Wyoming, speaking on humanities-centered topics. Programs must be balanced and cannot advocate policies or positions. See the current roster here.

The format of presentations varies, but they should be 30 to 45 minutes long, followed by focused audience discussions. The Wyoming Humanities Council pays a $150 honorarium for each presentation, as well as mileage, lodging, and per diem expenses. Speakers respond directly to booking requests from program sponsors and may schedule programs to accommodate work and other commitments.

Applications must be submitted by March 1 for inclusion in the roster starting Nov. 1. The council will notify applicants of the results of their applications by mid-August. Get the application form here.

Please complete a separate application for each program proposal you are submitting. You may propose up to four program ideas, and speakers are limited to having no more than three presentations listed on the Humanities Forum at one time.

You are encouraged to discuss your topics with council staff before submitting a final application.
