Gary Small and the Coyote Brothers will be playing in concert on Friday and Saturday, Sept. 18-19, 8 p.m., at the Silver Dollar Bar in the Historic Wort Hotel in downtown Jackson.The three-person group of Northern Cheyenne musicians is from Sheridan. Their new CD, "I Don't Play by the Rules," was nominated for a 2009 Native American Music Award (Nammy) for "best blues recording." Gary Small was nominated for "songwriter of the year" honors. The group won the Nammy for "best rock recording" in 2007.
The Nammies will be announced Oct. 3 at a ceremony in Niagra Falls, N.Y.
