A unique perspective ofAmes Monument is the featured Wyoming State Museum lecture series presentation on Thursday, February 9, at 7 p.m., in the Multi-Purpose Room.
Entitled “The Lonely Pyramid on Sherman Hill,” Anna Lee Ames Frohlich, great- granddaughter of Oakes and Oliver Ames, will discuss the 60-foot-highAmes Monument located in what was once Sherman , Wyoming .
The presentation will explore the history of the monument itself, its builders and the area where it is located.
TheAmes family history and their involvement with the Union Pacific Railroad will also be discussed.
