"Stop It" campaign by local artist raises awareness about domestic violence

Cheyenne artist Forrest King sends news about this awareness-raising contest:

October is Domestic Violence Awareness month, and we need your help to raise awareness via Facebook! Anyone who makes their "cover" photo the "Stop It" image for the month of October will be entered to win an 18x24 inch oil painting of yourself or a loved one, absolutely free! This is a $600 prize! 10 runner-up winners will get signed posters and/or bumper stickers!

All you have to do is the following by October 5th:

1. Join this event on Facebook

2. "Like" the Battered Bride Project's Facebook Page, www.facebook.com/batteredbrideproject

3. Make your "cover" picture the "STOP IT" image: https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=269155663158865&set=a.265373600203738.63703.173113672763065&type=1&theater (To do this, right click the image and "save as" and then make it your cover photo. Your cover photo is the big one at the top of your page)

4. Post about it on our Facebook page and leave the cover photo up for the month of October to be officially entered into the contest!

Of course you know that this is more than a contest, it is an opportunity to raise the awareness level and in turn stop the violence in a proactive, provocative way.

Thank you so much for your support in our mission!
