"No. 1 Ladies' Detective Agency" author visits Jackson April 23-24

Just in time for the debut of the HBO Series "The No. 1 Ladies Detective Agency" based on his books, author Alexander McCall Smith will be at the Teton County Public Library in Jackson in April. Here's more info from the library's web site:

The Teton County Library & Library Foundation present "Page to the Podium: Alexander McCall Smith" on Thursday, April 23 at 7 p.m. at the Center Theater, Center for the Arts. Free tickets are required and can be picked up with the presentation of a Teton County library card or card number at the Teton County Library and Alta Bookmobile.

Tickets will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis. One ticket per card will be given, and you may bring a family member’s or friend’s card to claim tickets for additional attendees. Underwriters for this event include Title Sponsors: First Interstate Bank, Mary K. Weiss Foundation; Sponsors: Jackson Hole Jewish Community; and with support from: Four Seasons Resort Jackson Hole, Berte and Alan Hirschfield.

Local book groups and bookworms are also being invited to read books by McCall Smith and then join the author for a Bookworm Social at 6 p.m. on Friday, April 24. This event requires reservations and space is limited.
