It's difficult to believe, but the postmark deadline for the 2011 creative writing fellowships is one week from today on Friday, June 18.
The competition, open to residents of Wyoming 18 or older, welcomes applications in the creative nonfiction genre. Manuscripts will be judged by Lee Gutkind, author of 15 books and founder of Creative Nonfiction magazine.
Up to three winners will be chosen to receive $3,000 each. They also will receive a travel stipend to read their work with Mr. Gutkind at the Equality State Book Festival Sept. 24 in Casper.
