The Teton County Public Library in Jackson will be closed Sept. 3-7 as its interior is reconfigured for upcoming construction projects.
But that hasn't stopped library programming. On Tuesday, Sept. 6, 6-7:30 p.m., the library conducts its "Geologists of Jackson Hole present: The Yellowstone Caldera," with Jake Lowenstern from the Volcano Science Center in Menlo Park, Calif. He will discuss recent activity in the Yellowstone caldera, as well as scientific efforts to use gas and fluid geochemistry to help understand ongoing magmatism and related hydrothermal activity.
Location: County Commissioners Chambers, 200 S. Willow St.
This event is free and open to the public.
