The May issue for Wyoming Artscapes is hot off the presses.

Cover articles feature the UW Art Museum’s year-long sculpture display and Casper’s “Urban Outdoors” mural project. Inside, there's a comprehensive article on advocacy by Bruce Richardson, the Wyoming Arts Council's board chair and professor of English at UW/CC. Get details in the newsletter about the on-line version of UW’s Red Desert Symposium, and take a look at plans for the new Intertribal Center that breaks ground at Central Wyoming College this summer. A photo gallery showcases the 2008 Governor's Arts Awards. Meet Alisan Peters, David Schuster and Allison Sage in our artist spotlight section. Assistant editor Linda Coatney traveled to Fremont County to write about Lander’s role as an arts community. She also wrote the accompanying piece about the Wind River Indian Reservation. Editor Mike Shay brought home all the details on the Poetry Out Loud national competition in Washington, D. C. The saga of the Eggstraordinary Eggxhibit continues, and there were some beauties entered in this contest.
