Matt Daly is a writer who lives in Jackson. He's a new addition to the Wyoming Arts Council artists' roster.
Since 2003, Matt has offered poetry and prose writing workshops for elementary through high school students, using creative writing as a method for students to discover their unique artistic voice. He has incorporated various classroom disciplines into his workshops including biology, ecology, chemistry, social studies, language arts and visual arts. Matt’s goal is to help students see writing as an opportunity to make art, and he often utilizes peer editing, public readings and performances as integral parts of the student writing process. His most recent project involved high school students writing and illustrating comic strips communicating science concepts learned in the classroom.
