As a paper artist, Georgia Rowswell has conducted workshops in papermaking, book making, paste paper, paper mache and making rubber stamps. In 2001, Georgia was awarded a work-study grant at the Penland School of Crafts where she worked on sculptural paper casting with Virginia Tyler. In 2008, Georgia won the American Bamboo Society’s Art and Craft national competition. For the past nine years she has worked with the Cook County Arts Council in Georgia, where she developed and taught the visual arts portion of the summer art camp.
