Founded by Kennedy Center President Michael M. Kaiser, the Kennedy Center Arts Management Institute Fellowship provides 10 mid-career arts managers with academic training and practical work experience at the nation's cultural center, one of the world's largest and most dynamic performing arts institutions.
Fellows study with senior staff in weekly seminars (strategic planning, development, finance, and marketing), and complement that study with practical work rotations in three departments and working relationships with senior staff.
The nine-month, full-time program begins in September, 2010. A $20,000 stipend, coursework materials, and health insurance reimbursement are provided.
Applicant Criteria:
•Minimum three years working experience
•Bachelor's degree in the arts or a related discipline
•Demonstrated knowledge of issues in arts management
