The Wyoming Arts Council is pleased to announce the winners of the 2011 Blanchan/Doubleday writing awards.
Recipient of the Neltje Blanchan Memorial Writing Award for nature writing is Patricia Frolander of Sundance. She will receive a $1,000 prize for a series of poems entitled “Married Into It.” Honorable mentions in this category go to Jane Dominick of Laramie for “Cottonwoods” and other poems and Darcy Lipp-Acord of Weston for her creative nonfiction entry, “Homework: Lessons from Allison.”
