Update: Recently, Roy was here in Cheyenne at Hobbs Elementary doing a few segments for an "artist" night. He also did their Wildcat logo for them. He said, "I met some really nice people and look forward to working with some of them. That all came about because of the television "spot' that you guys did."

New roster artist Roy Pilcher
Roy lives in Devil's Tower, Wyoming. A former rancher, sheep shearer and logger, Roy Pilcher began his full-time chainsaw art career just a few years ago. His artistic expertise has grown from carving simple bears to a recent work: a montage of an elk, eagle, owl, squirrel, bear and peacock carved into the large stump of a giant beetle-killed pine. He demonstrates his craft throughout the region and to a variety of interested groups, from children to adults. During the summer, Roy can be found at his carving studio near Devil’s Tower, where tourists and locals alike stop to watch Roy at work.
