It’s a challenge to find opera in Wyoming.
But our neighbors to the south in Utah and Colorado (or way down south in Santa Fe) do have some excellent opera offerings this summer.
For example, the Central City Opera in Central City, Colo., presents “Susannah” by Carlisle Floyd from July 5 through Aug. 10. The opera is “a glimpse in to small town America. This retelling of the Apocryphal biblical tale of Susannah and the Elders takes place in rural Tennessee. The story concerns a heroine falsely accused of immoral behavior when seen bathing in a creek by the church elders.”
