Call for entries: Gallery 110 in Seattle

Help Gallery 110 in Seattle celebrate its 10th year Feb. 2-25, 2012, with a juried exhibition of national and international artworks.

This annual exhibition showcases work by emerging and established artists. Gallery 110’s location and reputation offer artists access to Seattle’s Pioneer Square gallery district and First Thursday Art Walk. Works in two and three dimensions are welcome.

JUROR: Nora Atkinson, Curator at the Bellevue Arts Museum.
A Seattle native, Nora Atkinson completed her BFA in Photography and Art History at the University of Washington in 2002, followed by an MA in Museology in 2006. Beginning in 2006 as Exhibitions Curator of Bellevue Arts Museum, she has been the local curator of more than 14 traveling exhibitions in five years. Starting in 2010 as Curator, she organized such exhibitions as The Book Borrowers: Contemporary Artists Transforming the Book, Lisa Gralnick: The Gold Standard, and the current exhibition,Cathy McClure: Midway. Her writing and photography have been featured in numerous museum publications, including Mandy Greer: Dare alla Luce,Tip Toland: Melt, and Lisa Gralnick: The Gold Standard, among others.
AWARDS: Selected works will be displayed at the gallery for the month of February.  From exhibited works the juror will award first and second prize winners $300 and $200 respectively.

ELIGIBILITY: This international juried show is open to artists over 18 years of age. Art work may be in any two or three dimensional media and must be original works of art by the artist submitting the entry. Works requiring electrical outlets (e.g. video, neon, sound) are not eligible. Deadline for entry: Nov. 2, 2011, 5 p.m.
