Call for proposals: Teton County Library public art project

The Board of the Teton County Library announces a request for qualifications for the fabrication and installation of a site-specific work for the library lobbyQualifications are due on Feb. 15 2012. Three artists will be selected to visit the site, interview with the Selection Panel and receive a stipend to prepare a conceptual designFrom the group of finalists, one artist will be awarded $65,000 to create and install a new work in November 2012, depending on the construction schedule and available funds.

“Artwork for the entryway will be intellectually stimulating -- like a good book -- and invite various levels of understanding on the part of the many different patrons. The artwork will suggest that you discover something new every time you visit the library.”
